Keep the thinking and final writing yours, verify every external claim, and follow your school or teacher's rules for assessed work.

First, correct the subject labels

General Paper is an H1 subject in the 2026 A-Level syllabus and uses syllabus code 8881. The three H2 subjects discussed here use these codes:

What ChatGPT can and cannot establish

OpenAI says ChatGPT can assist with drafting, summarising, brainstorming, and answering questions. OpenAI also warns that it can produce incorrect facts and fabricated quotations, studies, citations, or references.

ChatGPT is not limited to a single static knowledge cut-off in every conversation. Depending on the plan and enabled tools, Search or Deep Research can retrieve current web sources. That does not make an answer self-verifying: OpenAI advises users to open the cited links and check important information.

Product access and features can vary by plan, account, and settings. This guide therefore does not rate a model against an examination rubric or promise that a particular feature will be available.
