Q: Can I enter NUS without H2 Mathematics?
A: Sometimes yes, sometimes no — it depends on the programme. Some programmes list H2 Math (or equivalent) as a prerequisite (eligibility). Separately, if you are admitted without a strong H2 Math-equivalent background, NUS may require you to take an official bridging pathway (readiness).
TL;DR (fast read)
- Step 1 (eligibility): Check whether your target NUS programme requires H2 Math.
- Step 2 (readiness): If you're eligible but you're missing a strong H2 Math-equivalent background, verify how NUS handles that gap (e.g. MA1301 bridging and/or the MA1301 Proficiency Test).
- Step 3 (plan): Don't guess — use the official pages linked below and build an action plan.
This guide is NUS-specific. Other Singapore universities may handle maths gaps differently, so always verify on the official pages for the university and programme you're targeting.
