TL;DR\ MOE's Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) is the default safety net for Singapore Citizen students who need help with compulsory fees and daily schooling costs. Once your household meets the gross income cap of $3,000-or $750 per capita-you can expect full waivers of school and miscellaneous fees plus transport and meal subsidies that scale up from primary to junior college levels. Submit the FAS form through your school, and renew annually so siblings remain covered.

Eligibility & Application Tips

- Income documentation: Prepare the latest payslips, CPF contribution statements, or income declarations for self-employed parents/guardians to verify the GHI/PCI thresholds.
- Multi-child households: Use the consolidated FAS form so all eligible siblings are assessed together, reducing the paperwork load.
- Annual renewal: Benefits run for the school year; reapply each year and report any income changes promptly to avoid suspension of subsidies.
- Conduct expectations: Schools may request updates on attendance and discipline. Continued eligibility requires satisfactory conduct and participation.
