Editorial standards
How we create our study resources and blog content.
How we write content
- Primary sources first. Every factual claim is traced to an official source: SEAB syllabus documents, MOE publications, university admissions pages, or data.gov.sg datasets. We link to the specific source in our citations.
- Expert review. Every blog post is reviewed by a subject specialist from our team before publication. The reviewer is displayed on the post - look for the “Reviewed by” attribution with the reviewer's credentials.
- Date transparency. We display the publication date on every post. When content is updated (e.g., for a new syllabus year), we show a “Last updated” date so readers know the information is current.
- Structured citations. Our articles include machine-readable citations (JSON-LD) that search engines can verify, alongside visible source links that readers can check.
What we do not do
- We do not publish AI-generated content without human review. Technology assists our research and drafting, but every published article is reviewed and approved by a qualified team member.
- We do not fabricate student testimonials. Reviews on our site are from real students and parents, identified by school and year level.
- We do not make unverifiable claims about exam outcomes. When we cite distinction rates or grade boundaries, we clearly label them as estimates and note the source.
Corrections
If you find an error in any of our content - an outdated syllabus reference, an incorrect prerequisite, a broken link - please email hello@eclatinstitute.sg with the page URL and the issue. We will investigate and correct it promptly.
