Method
- Secure the stand and establish a zero or unloaded reference reading.
- Change load, distance, or pendulum length across a safe sensible range.
- Measure perpendicular distance for moments, extension from the original length for springs, or length to the bob centre for pendulums.
- Release without a push and time several complete oscillations when measuring period.
- Repeat readings and plot the relationship requested.
- Identify the proportional region, balance condition, or trend without extrapolating beyond the data.
Variables
