Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Eclat Institute (“Eclat Institute”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://eclatinstitute.sg (the “Site”), and how you can contact us about privacy matters.
What this policy covers
This policy covers information collected through the Site and our related online services. It does not cover third-party websites that you may access via links on our Site, or information you provide directly to our tutors or staff outside the Site.
Information we collect
- Information you provide: If you contact us by email, WhatsApp, or a form on the Site, we receive the information you choose to share — such as your name, contact details, child’s year of study, and message content.
- Information collected automatically: Like most websites, we collect technical data such as IP address, device / browser information, pages viewed, referring URLs, and approximate timestamps via server logs and analytics tools.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, measure usage, and (with your consent) measure advertising effectiveness. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and secure the Site.
- To respond to enquiries and provide requested support.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve content and user experience.
- To measure the effectiveness of our marketing and communications (with your consent where required).
- To comply with legal obligations where applicable.
Third-party services
We use third-party service providers to help operate the Site. Depending on your settings and interactions, these providers may receive and process certain data (such as device identifiers, cookies, IP address, and usage data) on our behalf or as independent controllers.
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Consent required? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Google LLC | Site traffic and usage analytics | Yes — analytics |
| Meta Pixel | Meta Platforms Inc. | Advertising measurement and optimisation | Yes — analytics |
| Sentry | Functional Software Inc. | Error monitoring and reliability | No — always on |
| Vercel Speed Insights | Vercel Inc. | Performance monitoring | No — always on |
| TinaCMS / TinaCloud | Forestry.io Inc. | Content management | No — editorial only |
Cookies and consent
When you first visit the Site, a consent banner allows you to accept or decline optional analytics cookies. If you decline, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are not activated. Necessary cookies (for consent storage and site security) and service reliability tools (Sentry, Speed Insights) remain active regardless.
You can change your preferences at any time using the “Cookie settings” button that appears after you have responded to the banner, or via the Cookie Policy page.
Google Consent Mode
We implement Google Consent Mode v2. When analytics cookies are declined, Google Analytics and ad services remain in a “denied” state and no tracking cookies are set. When you later grant consent, consent mode is updated and measurement resumes.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information:
- With service providers that process data on our behalf to operate the Site (see the table above).
- If required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Eclat Institute, our users, or others.
International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside Singapore. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas transfers are protected in a manner consistent with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
Your rights under the PDPA
Under Singapore’s PDPA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold.
- Withdraw consent for us to use your personal data for specific purposes (subject to legal or contractual restrictions), though this may affect our ability to provide certain services.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@eclatinstitute.sg. We will respond within 30 days.
Your choices
- You can manage analytics cookies via the consent banner or the “Cookie settings” button.
- You may have additional controls through third-party providers, such as Google’s My Account and Meta’s Ad Preferences.
- You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how the Site works.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, and to maintain security and integrity. Enquiry records are retained for the period reasonably required to respond and follow up. We review and delete data that is no longer needed.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Our Site is intended for parents and students. If you are a student under 18, please involve a parent or guardian when contacting us for matters involving personal data.
