Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 21, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Eclat Institute (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on eclatinstitute.sg (the “Site”).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They can remember preferences, keep sessions active, and help us understand how the site is used. Some cookies expire when you close your browser (session cookies); others persist for a set period (persistent cookies).
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies We Use
2.1 Necessary Cookies
These are required for the Site to function and cannot be disabled through our consent controls.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
eclat_consent | First-party | Stores your analytics consent preference | 1 year |
eclat_consent_session | First-party | Anonymous consent audit session identifier | 1 year |
2.2 Analytics and Advertising Cookies
These cookies are set by default to help us understand how the site is used. You can opt out at any time via the cookie banner or your browser settings. Opting out stops Google Analytics and Meta Pixel from being activated on subsequent visits.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Maintains session state | 2 years |
_fbp | Meta (Facebook) Pixel | Identifies browsers for advertising measurement and optimisation | 3 months |
_fbc | Meta (Facebook) Pixel | Tracks clicks from Facebook ads | 3 months |
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled and Google Signals disabled. Meta Pixel is used only to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and is not used to build individual advertising profiles on our behalf.
2.3 Service Operations (Always On)
We use service telemetry to diagnose errors and monitor performance. These tools are operational necessities and are not optional analytics categories.
| Technology | Provider | Purpose | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sentry | Functional Software Inc. | Error monitoring and request diagnostics | No persistent cookie required |
| Vercel Speed Insights | Vercel Inc. | Page load performance and web vitals | No persistent cookie required |
3. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can manage your analytics and advertising cookie preferences at any time by reopening the consent banner below.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you inspect, block, and remove cookies from their privacy or settings menu. Refer to your browser’s help documentation for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
4. Google Consent Mode
We implement Google Consent Mode v2. When you opt out of analytics cookies, Google Analytics enters a denied state and no analytics cookies are set on subsequent visits. If you later re-enable analytics, we update the consent state and GA4 collection resumes.
5. Meta Pixel and Consent
Meta Pixel follows the same opt-out model as Google Analytics. If you opt out, the pixel script is not loaded on subsequent page visits. You can also opt out of Meta’s cross-site tracking via Meta Ad Preferences.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at eclatinstitute.sg/legal/cookies with an updated revision date.
