Eclat app privacy policy

This policy covers the Eclat app for Android, an H2 Mathematics practice app made for Eclat Institute and published on Google Play by ANTIPHISHING PTE. LTD., trading as Instavar. It does not cover the Eclat Institute website, which has its own Privacy Policy.

The short version

The app collects no personal data. It has no account, no advertisements, no analytics and no network permission, so it cannot send anything over the internet by itself. It requests no Android permissions.

What stays on your phone

Your answers, your place in the course, scratchpad drawings and any notes you write are saved in the app's private storage on your phone. Nobody else can see them, including Eclat Institute and Instavar. The app does not use Android's cloud backup, so this data is not copied to your Google account. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app deletes it.

Saving and restoring a copy

When you choose to save a copy of your practice, Android's file picker opens and the app writes one file to the place you choose. When you restore, the app reads only the file you pick. Where that file goes afterwards, for example a cloud drive or a message, is up to you and that service.

Links that open other apps

The About screen links to the Eclat Institute website, our Telegram notes channel, WhatsApp for tuition enquiries, an email address for reporting a mistake, and this policy. The syllabus screen links to the official syllabus documents. Each link opens another app on your phone, such as your browser, Telegram, WhatsApp or your email app. The app sends nothing itself.

• The website link carries a tag that tells the website the visit came from the app. The website's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy then apply.
• The WhatsApp and email links start a message for you, which you can change or delete before sending. Anything you send is handled under the website's Privacy Policy.

Age

The app is designed for students aged 16 and over taking H2 Mathematics. It collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Changes
