What SEC G1 G2 And G3 Science Means
SEAB says that from 2027, the current GCE N(T), N(A), and O-Level examinations will be combined and renamed as the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC). Under SEC, students sit subjects at G1, G2, or G3 subject levels and receive one certificate showing the subjects and levels taken.
MOE gives the wider Full Subject-Based Banding context. Starting from the 2024 Secondary 1 cohort, the Normal (Technical), Normal (Academic), and Express streams are removed, with students posted through Posting Groups 1, 2, and 3 and able to offer subjects at different subject levels as they progress.
